Seeing how she reacts around other dogs will be an indication. How is she when another dog visits your home? Some dogs are very sociable and enjoy a playmate, but others are more happy to be an only dog.
There are many other things to consider too in getting a second dog. It gets a little harder to take 2 with you, yet it seems easier to leave them home when they have company and are not alone. Of course cost of vets, grooming, food and monthly flea and heartworm prevention doubles too, so be prepared for that. |
