Lolasmom1211 has an extremely ill pup right now. Harley was admitted to an emergency vet clinic over the weekend but he was not doing well there. This morning, first thing, Valerie picked him up and took him to Gulf Coast Vet Specialists.

Tests have been run and he has an extremely severe case of pancreatitis and possibly hepatitis. He was severely dehydrated on admission and his glucose has been dropping into the 60s. During the last visit she had with him this afternoon, he was standing up but he clearly is ill. He has IVs and also a nasogastric tube. The specialist who is treating him said that he has gone from a 10 to up to an 8....while that is a bit encouraging, he is definitely not out of the woods.

Please remember Harley and his mom Valerie in your thoughts and prayers. Valerie loves her little babies so much and is an awesome pet parent. She is so upset right now with the way this happened so suddenly. It really is frightening how quickly these little ones can become so ill.

One thing I can say is that he is in the best hands possible. He is being treated by a board certified critical internist who I have the utmost respect for. She has cared for a few of my pups.
