Thanks everyone. She is a spitfire...she only has two speeds stop and run. I am just not used to the energy. When I got Brandi when she was 7 she was already in poor health so her energy level was very low.
This one here is non-stop. I will need to find some toys that can keep her occupied and I will be doing some training with her. She is very smart. When I pointed to her bed, she went right over to it. She didn't stay but she understood what I wanted her to do.
We are working on the potty training. I will be crate training her because she likes to go when I am not looking. She slept in her ex pen last night without making a peep and she pretty much ignores the cat so we are off to a good start.
She really is a cutie and her previous owner definitely took care of her. She is well groomed, is a nice healthy weight, clear eyes, well behaved (so far) and very friendly.I'm not a vet but her teeth are extremely white so I'm hoping she doesn't have bad teeth. All that will get checked out when she goes to her vet appointment. I think we are going to be good for each other.
But I still find myself comparing her to Brandi and I hope in time I stop doing that because she is a completely different dog with a completely different personality. I am already in love with her so it can only get better. |
