For the OP I how-ever agree with all the advice given. For many reasons as a novice pet owner, it would be best to spay your girl.
The mammarys in a female who is spayed before there first heat are not the same as mammarys in a female who as gone through a heat that is for sure you can feel and see the difference which mean they are not developed or fully developed which would obviously decreased the chance of cancer.. Mammary cancer in dogs
