Depending on how you have your settings, I can see how it could affect a dog. If you have your bass set low or high (I don't know music but I hear it when the kids drive by coming from their cars) I can see how the vibration it causes could make a dog shake much like they do in a thunderstorm. Not sure that's what it is, but it's not just their ears that are sensitive, I think their whole sensory system is that much more sensitive than ours. Then depending on how the music bounces around in your house, yeah, it can make them shake/scared. My Dh watches a stupid sport fishing show that beeps occasionally and that makes my dogs start shaking and panting. It's barely noticeable, but they never miss it.
