Lola does a lot of this too.

She regularly asks to be picked up (stands against your leg/chair and growls if you ignore her) and then backs away, she'll keep doing it until you decide to deal with the barking/growling or she decides she really wants to be picked up.

She also shoves toys off my bed with her nose and then growls and barks about it.

Her other toddler traits are getting into everything and insisting everything is hers and everyone was made to do her bidding.

Our other yorkie used to make my cousin play the pick it up game and when she told him no he'd get on the back of the couch, bark in her ear, and scratch her head.
