 Transition from crate to bed
Lexi is now a little over 5 months old and I am thinking about letting her start sleeping in our bed at night. She has always slept in her crate and sleeps great. In bed between 8-9 and sleeps until I get up between 7-7:30. I am a little hesitant for a couple reasons.
1. She currently goes crazy when in my bed. One night when she fell asleep next to me in the living room I tried bringing her into my room and as soon as she got on the bed she started digging and biting at my sheets and just running around like crazy.
2. I am worried she wont sleep as well. Being in the crate she knows she has to stay there until I get her out, but being on the bed she has the freedom to get up when she wants.
Part of me thinks just continue with the crate and not mess with something that is already going well, but I would also like to have her sleep in the bed with us. Has anyone else had experience transitioning from crate to bed with their pup, any advice would be appreciated! |
