Yes. Also only perfect examples of the breed should be bred. You also should know his lines pretty far back to make sure he does not have illnesses that run in them. You also need to have genetic testing done by specialist to make sure he doesn't have any genetic illnesses he could pass on. He also needs to be AKC. There are also stds that need to be checked for. I personally would neuter him and just love him as a pet.
