I would call the vet and ask them what to do. I believe that onions contain a chemical that destroys hemoglobin in red blood cells and causes anemia. Hopefully the dose your dog ate was small enough not to cause any problems, but I would definitely call the vet, just to be safe. How is he doing this morning?
