 My yorkie acts like a cat…?
Long story short, my boy was living in a household with cats before we got him. I guess he liked to spend more time with the cats than with his siblings? He's picked up some cat like behaviors that have me worried. I accidently bought a cat nip toy from petco because it was the only small one, and it's his favorite toy despite the other ones we have gotten him. He has almost ripped all of the legs off.
Other than that, he has an obsession with playing using his paws, like a cat does. He also likes to go into tight spaces, and walks on the edge of the couch. Once he is on the couch, he tries to climb further up on the top of the backrest, which is narrow and he will obviously fall. He fell once from the edge, which is what got me concerned. Yet he continues his cat ways. If he is able to climb onto the couch in the future, who knows what he will do. How can I correct this behavior? |
