Only once a year? Every time we have company I lose my little shadow, especially if they bring kids with them! She will follow the visitors around and if someone sits on the living room furniture they have a little dog that will sit next to them staring lovingly into their faces as though she was the most neglected pup on earth.
When the house gets back to normal she acts as though nothing happened.
