I am a California born and raised and was rooting for California Chrome. I totally agree with the owner, these other horses have had rest and did not race three races. Our Chrome is tired. He has run a lot and did not have the pep to go that distance. Needed a rest like the others. I hope they change the rule or if I had a horse I would not run mine that much and expect success. I am thankful nobody was hurt and I pray that the owners will realize just how blessed they are to own such a great horse and they will see the results when that horse has little foals and they are just as special. Beautiful horses will never be forgotten, he certainly will not. He gave it all he had and he is a winner in my eyes! |
