I haven't left. I will stay and read. I spent 21yrs in the Army so that people
have the right to speak freely. Just as I do. I will not apologize for my
actions or words here. We have and continue to try to find this dogs owner.
I do think the moderators should be more involved. But this is not my board, I
am just a visitor.

Here is a fact that megansmom doesn't know. We moved into our new house
on 4 acres last weekend. Yet we still drove the 30 miles to our old
neighborhood to canvas put up new flyers. We will go again in the next few
minutes. So we continue. We will reach a point where it will not make sense
to continue. I will make that call. Per the local shelter we have more than
met the requirements to adopt the dog. They have had our contact
information now for 31 days. We ran ads in the newspapers(do people still
read those) and have followed the procedures given to us by the shelter. Oh,
and the shelter was full so they asked us if we could keep the dog. They call
and check on the dog weekly.

If in the end we do keep her she will be well loved. Our cat already likes her.

So megansmom, I hope we can agree to disagree and come to a peaceful
end to this.

Thanks to all for the support and love. I do believe there is much to be
learned here.
