The comments were not directed to you. We were just trying to point out that what appears to be neglect is most likely the result of being lost. If you truly did look for the owners and they were not located that is a different story. You are actually the second person today that found a lost dog and the other person pretty much brought the dog in, renamed it and claimed her as their own.
