Motamax (sp) is an extremely commonly dispensed prescription, there are millions of dogs so of course there will be problems here and there. I've had many, many, many dogs over the years and many of them have used it.
I am extremely allergic to Tylenol, penecillin, sulfa and even avocado, but I wouldn't tell anyone to stop taking such common meds or not to eat guacamole...its just too common of a drug and fruit and like motamax helps the majority who are prescribed it!
I'm glad your baby is getting better and is not one of the rare side effect sufferers, keep us posted.
