I am relieved, but also bummed. Still no idea what is causing the pain. Doctor said there was a 5-10% chance it could still be Carpal tunnel, but he doubts it. I'm also being tested for hypothyroidism, which could cause the pain.
Has anyone had a negative EMG test and still had carpal tunnel, or more tests and got a diagnosis of some kind?
EMG test is basically shocks to your nerves in your arms, and gauge the response time of your nerves. They also put thin needles into 5 muscles of your arm to test their response. Its not a pleasant test, but its not unbearable either. |
My test came back neg... and was told they were not sure what caused my pain.... I later found out that my B12 stays low so after weekly shots I dont have the problem as much EXCEPT when my herniated disc are bugging me soooo maybe might be worth testing your B12?!?!?!
