Hi There,
My sweet girl, Evie, was spayed when she was 8.5 months old. She is very small, also. On the day she was spayed, she weighed 2 pounds 7 ounces. I was very worried about her being sedated as well, but wanted to have her spayed before her first heat and my vet felt comfortable with doing the procedure. She did fine. They also removed 6 of her baby teeth.
