I totally understand your fears, it's always scary to have them go under and have surgery. As far as activity, you can use things to fence off areas for her once she arrives back home so she can't run / have a lot of activity. Most likely, she will not feel like doing much the first few days - but they do snap back remarkably fast too! Have some chews on hand to keep her busy/occupied. And if you leave her alone/leave the house - just make sure you have her cordoned off to a smaller area.
