The pup we're adopting is scheduled to get spayed tomorrow. She's just over 2 lbs (2.2 last they checked) and is extremely high risk... not sure how she'll make it through but they insisted on doing it now, before releasing her to us.
They say they spay tiny dogs all the time, but would never put a dog under anesthesia if she's under 2 lbs. I'd wait if I were you, there's no rush... why take the chance?! I'll be saying a prayer (or a dozen) for my little girl... very nervous about how it goes tomorrow... so I understand how you feel. |
