I would talk to the vet about treats and ask about sweet potatoes in general. After reading other threads about dogs who have had gastro problems or pancreatitis (which I know you said Zoey tested negative for), I get the impression that sweet potatoes should be avoided.
Ladyjane (Linda) would be a good person to talk to about the treats she makes from Rx dog foods.
