Is this Chloe's first time getting groomed? If so, I think it'd be good to have someone to help you. For the table, if you're going to use a dining size table, I found it helps to limit the space so they won't roam around. It's also good to have something with traction so surface won't be slippy to them.

I've always given my two summer cuts (puppy cut). I shave their belly area with the clipper as well. Armpits, I actually use scissors. I grab their front paws and make them stand on their hind legs which exposes their armpits.

I bought a cheap clipper from walmart. Works fine for me... Got the shear/thinner from Amazon. I think somewhere around $15 for them.
