Hot tubs would be fine, so long as you keep the water below 90, I would think. Our pool can sometimes reach nearly 90 degrees on REALLY hot and humid summer days, and Jackson still swims. He also swims in 65 degree water though too
He's crazy....
But yeah I've been in the hot tub when it's 95+ and I wouldn't want Jackson in it.
