That's scary, I hope little Jax is ok. These little guys are quick.

Also, go to ASPCA where you will find a list of toxic and non-toxic plants to be aware of. I have been in my house a year now and had these in the back yard; hosta, daffodils, hydrangea's, ferns, now GONE. The front yard has bush plants, but my pets don't go out to the front yard, no fence. But in the near future these will be gone too.

Oh, one more thing, look up the many ways that you can use vinegar, if you don't already know.
