I agree. The high temperatures and the chemicals are definite no-no's--even I can hardly stand them sometimes. I didn't even think about the currents and the possibility of hair getting sucked into the recirculation, but that sounds like a legitimate concern too. A kiddie pool using tap water with no extra chemicals sounds like a safer option.
