Hi there and to YT. Love the name
You will definitely get a lot of useful advice on this site. My Jax will be a year old on the 20th. We have to remember that they are still puppies. When Jax wants to bite I tell him "No Biting" or "Ouch" and pull away so he understands that he hurt you. Give him a puppy Kong to chew on. Put him in time-out for a few, but not in his crate, you do not want him to associate the both or when he goes in there he will think he's in trouble.

I have a leash wrapped around the leg of the kitchen table and if he chases the cat I put him on it and ignore him for a few, of course with me in there. When I got Jax, I was afraid of my two cats getting him because he was so small but not anymore, he weighs 12 lbs now. Lucee was smart to put him in his place when he first started to chase her but my poor Johcee didn't and now he is her worst nightmare, but I protect her. Sometimes I wonder though if she likes to be chased

Well good luck to you and like I said before, there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site with great advice.

Pattee, mama to JAX and "KLOEE" RIP
