No, retained baby teeth on a small breed dog, such as the Yorkshire Terrier, is normal to have retained teeth and need to be removed. Sometimes you can help them fall out by allowing pups to chew on something appropriate and even play a gentle game of tug of war with a sock sometimes help. Best to have retained teeth pulled out if still in there good around the age from 6-8 months of age. This is because you dont want to mess up a good bite and to help teeth health and mouth hygiene.

What would be unacceptable to showing in confirmation shows is if a dog had a bad bite and you had a vet make correction with braces and then showed that dog. Yes, I have heard of dogs getting braces, never known of one to show though. Most vets require the dog be spayed or neutered before applying braces, so they know they could not enter the dog later in confirmation shows.
