I trained my Roxie to use the bell system and it works like a charm. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but I brought a cheap bell from PetSmart and tied a ribbon to it and hung it from the door. I put cream cheese on the bell as an inticement to hit the bell and rewarded her each time. I progressed to opening the door each time she rung the bell and also saying "outside!" Then we progressed to "Potty". She can also Potty on command which is nice for those cold nights in San Diego (
) To make a long story short- We were successful and I ended up ordering the Poochie Bell because they are so cute and look so nice hanging from the door. No accidents in 6 months and I can hear the bell where ever I am in the house. I love it!
But I will admit I feel she does sometimes rings it for attention or just to see me get up!
