I wouldn't worry too much about feeding him to late. You have to do what works best for you and your pup and your schedule. I started free feeding mine because scheduled feeding just want working out. When I did schedule feed, she just wasn't hungry until late, about 7:30/8 and she would go to bed about 8:30/9. I was worried at first because I thought this would effect her sleep because she didn't poop before bed, but she sleeps great at night. 8:30/9 to whatever time I get up which is about 7. I take her out to go potty right when we get up and she usually poops then.

What are your concerns about eating to late?
