I only used the crate for Calleigh the first night I brought her home. She is trained for wee wee pads and she goes outdoors. I was fortunate to be home most of the time when she was a puppy. I think that helped her training go very smoothly. She's now 7. She goes to the door when she wants to go out. She will make a little yip sound if I don't see her standing there. Good luck training your little one. Just take her out frequently. It seems they rather go outdoors than in the house.
