Following Max's lead helped. Teddy took to peeing on the pads right away. Pooping was another story. He really did not want to do that in the house. I had to pen him when he was desperate to go. I felt cruel because he really wanted to go outside to do it 'right.' After he finally went on the pad, I jumped up and down praising him and gave him a big treat. After that, he was fine. |

I'm so glad to hear that you've both been successful training an adult to pads.
She's the first yorkie I've ever heard of at our local shelter, so there might be a lot of interest in her. I really wish I could be there myself to see her. My Mum isn't much of an animal person at all, although she adores ZoE. But her Mum, my Nan, raised yorkies, and all of her siblings had yorkies, so my mum is very familiar with them.
One of my best friends volunteers at the shelter and said if She isnt rehomed by the third day, she will be pulled by a local small dog rescue, as the shelter she's at has one of the highest kill rates in the state
