We got some rain today again! If it would just keep up with a lovely rain every two weeks, say 2-5 inches, we'd be out of this drought within a year. No chance but it sure would be nice.
I reduced the number of annuals I planted this year to save on watering. But I did plant some new perennials that will take the place of annuals in years to come if I'm careful with them this year and next. Planted them last weekend and mulched them yesterday before the rain came today. Put some bricks around them for now to protect the mulch from washing away. So far so good but hopefully, we're to get more rain tomorrow. Please Lord!! |
