 It's snake season again...
One of my co-workers has had her Yorkie at the Vets since Thursday with a bite from a copperhead. Her bill is in excess of $2400 and whether or not they will be able to save his leg is still in question.
Yesterday, one of my neighbors posted a picture of a copperhead in his driveway (shudder).
Make sure you know what types of snakes live in your area. If you can, find out ahead of time what vets in your area stock anti-venom for any poisoners snakes that frequent your hood. I found out that the anti-venom for copperheads runs in excess of $700/vial and is only stocked by 1 vet in my area because of the cost.
