Hello, I recently bought a Yorkie and he is only a few months old.

Lately I've noticed that when I try to comb his hair to get the knots and such out, there is something odd happening. His hair mysteriously gets wet on his back (not his whole back, but a part of it).

I have tried brushing it very gently and putting on a small amount of a mix of water/conditioner because I read that you aren't supposed to brush their hair completely dry. Even brushing it as gently as I can, the problem still happens.

I've tried using Google to help determine what's wrong with him, but there isn't really anything I can find.

Any ideas to what might be happening?
