Problem is that if you do find a puppy for the price you are looking for you run the risks of high and unexpected vet expenses. Puppy mills and BYB do not give good health guarantees so you get stuck and in the end you could have put your money into a healthier, better bred pup.

I know it sounds like a sad situation - but the situation can get sadder.

Go to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America web site and read - they also list breeders. Here's the deal: they buy the breeder first, then the pup!

Good luck!
Pouring $ into a sick pup is a big financial issue, but to me, to see a sick puppy suffer, is more devastating then the $ spent to get this innocent lil baby on the road to recovery, your heart will break a thousand times over. Please do not be tempted when you see a pup in your price range, if you have to, wait, save more $. In the end you will save $ by buying a pup from a reputable breeder, then turning $ over to your vet to cure a sick baby. If that baby suffers, you suffer with it.
