I agree with Lisa that the inflammation and swelling is likely still very irritating to his delicate nasal tissue and perhaps a nasal anti-inflammatory or pill or injection could help him feel better quicker. Still, you're there observing him and if he's getting acutely worse rather than better with each passing day, I'd get him in for a second look-see.
