I think you are doing great! They are still very young, but they will catch on.
Everyone has different idea's, some work for them, but not for others, you just need to find the one that works best for you.
Potty training is not easy, but it works. You have to decide where you want them to go, and start to train them there. When you see them go tell them good girl, and pass them a small treat. If they start to go somewhere else, pick them up, and take them to the spot you want them to go. Let them know this is where we go potty. Sounds funny, but they do understand what we are saying. It takes time, but they do learn. Do you have a doggie door? When we put one in for Princess, I was shocked at how fast she learned. She even taught Poncho how to use it, who is a year older.
