I think his weight is just fine for his age, and he will continue to gain for his first year and maybe a bit longer. A basic rule of thumb is that their full adult weight will be double the weight at 12 weeks. Although this sometimes doesn't hold true, I would guess that he will mature to somewhere around 5-6 lbs which is perfect for this breed.
