Agreed! Ideally, yes your experience and qualifications should be what your potential new employer is focusing in, but looks are important too. In my experience, my qualifications have brought me to be one of the too two candidates for a job, then they meet me and I never get called back. It doesn't help my cause to be in education and look like I could be a student there. (Jr and high school, I have better luck at the elementary schools) It's happened several times too!
