It can be a challenge to make them eat when you want them to at that age. I remember one time I put Cookie's wet food on my nose to get her to lick it off at about 3.5 months! Then I would have to do the "Here comes the airplane" trick that you always see mothers doing with their toddlers to make them eat yucky things like peas. Then I started spinning her food bowl on the hardwood floor, which she absolutely loves because it wobbles in addition to spinning azimuthally, making a hell of a noise. Now at 14 months she still sometimes likes me to spin her bowl for her, and she'll sometimes ask me to do it before she'll eat dinner.
