The treats you have now are probably ok, but I wouldn't feel comfortable...my guys did not do good w/ orijen freeze dried buffalo treats. It gave them soft poopies. Guessing the fat content of the treats was too high, although they eat 100% premade raw food which also has a higher fat content & they're doing excellent on it. Or maybe it's buffalo IDK.
They can't digest fruits (or veggies), it's got to be blended (or slightly blanched), otherwise it comes out the other end undigested or gives them soft poopies...for my fur butts anyway! What I do is (probably disgusting to some) is chew it in my mouth & give them some like I'm their wolf momma loll. |
