My groomer said not to bath a dog inbetween grooming IF they have dry skin. She suggested a waterless shampoo. I tried it and hated it! So I switched to an oatmeatl shampoo and it's doing the trick. I have Muffin groomed every 4 weeks and I bathe her once a week inbetween groomings. She gets greasy and stinky and I can't stand her looking and smelling bad. She's too damn cute to smell like a dog!
