One diet you might want to try is white fish (tilapia, cod, sole etc), potatoes and green beans. This is a very hypoallergenic diet and can be done for a good while without supplementing. If you do it longer term, you'd want to supplement with some add'l nutrients like calcium etc.

also ask your vet about l-glutamine it's an amino acid that's really good for healing intestinal tissue and also works to remove excess water in the system which is helpful for diarrhea prone pets
