Hi and welcome to yt! I would for sure have him neutered. It is a benefit in many ways...especially if your considering a female as you don't want an accidental pregnancy. I would do some meets and greets on neutral ground with other dogs to see how he feels about them. if you bring in a puppy he may bond better but it all depends on his personality.
