As for blogs, I just love Maria's! I have learned sooo much from her about paint and the undertones all paint has. Maria has many articles explaining the impact it will have in your decor decisions and if you mix the wrong undertones you probably won't like the outcome in your design decisions. Her e-book was so helpful for me in understanding this concept. I now look at paint and home furnishings in a completely different way.

I also lovvvvvvvvvve subway tile in white kitchen. I know subway tile has been "in vogue" for a long time now, but I'm still loving it and find it timeless and so attractive. I've had thoughts about subway-tiling my kitchen island, as I saw on this pin, kinda fun, but don't know if I'd ever do it:
