 11 month-old Yorkie getting aggressive with "sister" and owners
Really would appreciate advice. We've had our Yorkie puppy since she was 7 weeks (now 11 months). She has been spayed and according to the vet, is very healthy. I'm wondering if she is exhibiting alpha behavior with our other dog, a 3-year old Yorkie. Both dogs sleep on our bed, but the puppy is now barking and lunging when the 3-year old gets near her on the bed or if the 3-year old comes near us humans when the puppy is lying next to us on the sofa. She has also growled and lunged at US if we disturb her when she's sleeping. In all other aspects, she is a sweet, loving little girl--she likes other dogs, strangers, children, etc. What is the best way to stop this behavior? |
