In the last 3 years I've done major upgrades like beautiful teak wood floors upstairs and all travertine-look porcelain tile downstairs, new master bathroom that I adore, mahogany doors some new windows lots of paint inside and out.
But I still have to complete the guest bathroom, and replace my now 20 year old kitchen. Can't wait to get rid of whitewashed cabinets and have something like soft toned cherry or teak, with lots of big lower drawers instead of doors w/pullouts, and granite counters instead of tile, all new appliances too. I just have to be brave and be ready to have the entire kitchen ripped out for a month or two. Argg, the thought of the mess and having contractors here (while living here with 3 pups) always slows me down. |
I so hear you on the fear of making a mistake - I'm the same way. And, I'd probably feel paralyzed for a good long while if I was re-doing my entire kitchen bc it's such a huge decision and undertaking. This gal is almost done w/ her GORGEOUS kitchen remodel and it's been fun to watch...I'll link you to only her renovation posts:

Would love to see piccies of what you've already completed if ya ever feel like it! So did you get tired of having a white kitchen? I always contemplate going white, but would be nervous to make a big change if I ever wanted to redo our kitchen. I *love* seeing other people's white kitchens though! Our kitchen is only about 9 yrs old and has sort of cherry colored cupboards, stainless steel, and black granite w/ striations/veins.
