We have one a lot like that for Eddie. He's really gotten used to it and actually likes it because he can see out the window. In fact, the other day I was in a hurry and didn't strap him in. I looked back, and he had hopped up on the car seat and was sitting patiently.
My only complaint is he sometimes twists in it and gets the harness turned around. It's not dangerous, but I have to stop and straighten it out.
