Many breeders have waiting lists and require deposits very early. It's a personal decision. For me, I would be nervous choosing too early. I would have a hard time committing before 10 weeks. Great advice.

For me, I'd want to be able to wait as long as possible before choosing. Of course you do then run the risk of other people making their choices earlier. I really want to see what the kiddo looks like though.
