[Angel Sweet Pea]

Hi, today there was a tick on my yorkie's neck. I hardly ever bring her out and when I do I only walk her on concrete at the shopping center. The only place I think she picked it up was from a visit with her sister yesteday. Her and I were in all day today. I went to the vet to have it removed and he said it was a deer tick. He then applied some solution to her back called "zoxyl tick plus" by Merck [not sure if I have the spelling right]...[it was a liquid you apply to the back of the dog]... The package said for dogs 4lbs to 11lbs and the package also said it was 'fatal to cats and not to use on dogs you breed or who are pregnant' ... HOWEVER THE VET NEVER TOLD ME THIS PRIOR TO PUTTING IT ON MY DOG. The dog started growling when I got her home...I am a bit worried. The package said grooming a dog after treatment can lead to tremors...so I did not dare give her a bath... I am worried.
I saved the tick but I am really concerned about this stuff they put on my dog. Any insight would be most appreciated. thanks.
