Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I have never used RC, but I am confident that the food has plenty of vitamins and minerals. Many Yorkie Talk members' dogs eat RC and do very well on it.
As for eating dirt, I believe Yorkies will eat just about anything. Are they really eating it, or just licking and tasting it? There might be something in the dirt that is attracting them.
